"If you're like me, maybe you've been described as self-destructive. Maybe you wonder why you engage in behaviors that feel like you're hurting yourself sometimes. I'm here to share something with you that an elder once shared with me. All the men who have ever touched me, who have ever, I've ever performed sexual services for for money, or something else of value, all of those men, they never took anything from me. What they did do is they left something in me. They left a piece of their energy that was never made for me to carry. It was never made for my child body to support the addiction of a full-grown man. It was never made for anybody's body to support the living expenses of what it takes to survive in America today. I'm here to tell you not to carry the hurt, that sometimes when we have tendencies to destroy ourselves. I'm here to remind you you're not destroying yourself, baby. You're destroying what that man left in you, or that person left in you. You are getting rid of what is not yours to hold. So, as you pursue your healing today, and all days moving forward, know that you are wise beyond your years. The hocesters stand with you. Your ancestors protect you. And there is wisdom in your suffering. My pain is my power. I hope it also becomes yours. Much love."
