"You know in your car how you have like an AM and FM setting? I kind of have an AM and FM setting, too – “Against Me” and “For Me” thinking. Sometimes my “Against Me” thinking can be pretty strong. But something I’ve learned over my years of healing is that if I start my morning with a daily devotional of any kind - you can just Google on YouTube, or Google “YouTube” and then YouTube, daily devotional, motivational speaking. And I find that my day starts off a lot better. My “Against Me” thinking shuts off. It’s almost like I have a choice in that moment. And eventually, I did start to have choices around how I thought, and think, and continue to think through the day. I would just encourage anyone who’s ever been a survivor of something, anything, to choose to hit that AM/FM switch. I personally don’t listen to much FM here. There’s not much on my FM station that I’m familiar with, or maybe if I get familiarized with “For Me” thinking, I can plan my day and be a little bit more “For Me.”"
